1. What the ApplyGetIt ATS score measures
The score is calculated on 100 points across 5 dimensions to evaluate fit between your resume and a target job post.
Current weighting is: technical keyword coverage (0-40), soft-skill alignment (0-15), experience fit (0-20), education fit (0-10), ATS-friendly structure (0-15).
- Technical keywords: required skills and how well they match context.
- Soft skills: alignment with expected behavioral signals.
- Experience fit: similarity of scope, missions, and outcomes.
- Education fit: degree/certification alignment when required.
- ATS structure: machine-readable formatting and section clarity.
2. How the analysis is generated
The system compares your resume text with the job post to extract matched keywords, missing terms, and relevance signals.
Output includes a global score, level (low/medium/good/excellent), per-dimension breakdown, and actionable recommendations.
3. How to use the score quickly
Start with critical missing keywords, then strengthen 2 to 3 quantified proof points in role-relevant experience bullets.
If structure score is low, simplify layout: clear sections, fewer decorative elements, and a readable PDF export.
- Priority 1: close critical keyword gaps from the posting.
- Priority 2: add action + context + result in key bullets.
- Priority 3: keep a clear target title and clean structure.
4. Important limitations
This is not the exact score of any single proprietary ATS. Each company can use different tools and filtering rules.
A high score improves screening odds but does not guarantee interviews without role fit, timing, and recruiter validation.
